Thanks for the link to the review; I was at the open house dress, and I think it's both fair and accurate.
I'm very interested, as is everyone, in what the Ring will look like. I'm suspecting that it's not going to be explicitly interpretive in the way that Chereau was (as in, look! Wotan's looking in a mirror for his big monologue!), which fits with the Met's general inclinations.
